"Its
difficult for a solo artist with only an acoustic guitar to be a captivating
performer, but Kelli Eagan succeeds."
"A
captivating performer... reminiscent of Paula Cole. or early
Sarah MacLachlan... with a charming personality that shines through her
music."
"Eagan's
songwriting shows a lot of merit and promise"

February 11, 2003
A big hello to you all from a very cold Boston, Massachusetts. I think
it's been actually hitting the 30's finally! A lot has been
going on the past few months~ for one, I made it to India this past
December! Years of interest and personal study of South Asian Culture
finally brought me directly to the source. I did some wandering through
Mumbai (formerly Bombay), Cochin (Kerala), Bangalore (Karnataka), Salem
(Tamil Nadu), Delhi, and Agra, to see the beautiful Taj Mahal.
There's so much to say about what I saw and experienced- I am
planning on getting some photo's posted online soon so you can all take
a
look.
Some more great happenings...just confirmed..i will be
opening for Beth Amsel (incredible songwriter and one fourth of Voices
on
the Verge) at a house concert on May 10th!
I am personally a fan of performing in smaller venues and more intimate
settings such as house concerts since it gives the audience a greater
sense of the artists music in an intimate way. You can purchase tickets
in advance by emailing bravemusic@yahoo.com tickets will be very
limited!
There will be some more dates here and there before May so check back
here now and then for updates.
Also, if you can spare a few minutes, check out the Childreach
organization at www.childreach.org for information on how to sponsor a
child in
great need. I currently sponsor Anitha, a young girl who lives in
India. I recently had the special opportunity to meet Anitha and her
family in India this past December and it was truly one of the most
meaningful and happiest days of my life. It is a life changing experience
to
see the smile of a child in another part of the world knowing your help
is making a difference in their life.
This is a perfect time to do something positive for someone who is less
fortunate!!! With the prospect of war and all the negativity in this
world, it's our responsibility to take care of those who need our help
and spread as much positive energy as possible. Even if it just means
showing a smile to someone when we don't feel like it- every positive
action counts.
Take it easy and see you out there!
Kelli
